Campaign 2026: Into the Luragothic Wastes
Press the Beast has thrown down the gauntlet for a new RPG challenge in 2026: Campaign 2026. The short version of it is "run a game from February through the end of the year". Since I'm already planning several campaigns to start next year, I happily accepted.
Into the Luragothic Wastes is going to be an Original edition D&D campaign using only the 3 little brown books and Chainmail (with some references to various retroclones for possible clarifying interpretations). Players will take up the mantle of adventurers reclaiming lands lost to the wilderness during the reign of Orcus, Demon Prince of Undeath.
I'm using a modified version of Idraluna Archives' Classic Outdoor Survival map as the basis for the regional hexmap.
I still need to figure out some dungeon maps, but I'm probably going to use some Dyson Logos maps for the larger locations, supplemented with creating my own for smaller adventure sites.
And I need to find players as well. The wife is already excited to try it out, and I'm sure the kids will be interested as well. I'll probably pitch it to my online group since that's been on hiatus since my 5e campaign ended back in October. I'm sure at least a few of them will be interested.
