Chronicles of an Adventuring Bearwere

Luragothic Wastes planning and prep

I’m not quite sure what to post about, but I’ll try to turn my incoherent rambling thought processes into something to post.

I’ve been trying to keep the prep for this simple. I’m using the Outdoor Survival map for the region (specifically, the Idraluna Archive’s version). All the settlements and strongholds have been named. Some of the NPCs from the strongholds have been detailed.

I’ve also started drawing the primary dungeon, but haven’t started stocking anything yet, and detailing the settlements. I think my big hurdle at the moment is that I don’t have a solid mental image of what the region looks like (geographically, culturally, etc), which is making it harder for me to focused on prepping any specific part.

Progress is progress though, so no complaints. My wife and I have been doing a play-by-post duet using Goblin Gully to get a feel for the rules, in advance of throwing a full group of regular players into the campaign. Once she finishes that first adventure, I’ll post a “session” report.
